Jessica Bayes

Jessica Bayes is a clinical nutritionist and researcher currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine (Faculty of Health, Southern Cross University). With a decade of experience in health and wellness, she focuses on nutritional psychiatry and its intersections with mental health, lifestyle medicine, and gut-brain axis research.

Jessica’s research explores nutritional interventions for depression, autism, and post-stroke recovery, with emphasis on the Mediterranean diet, polyphenols, and dietary supplements. Her work spans clinical trials, systematic reviews, and global healthcare utilization patterns.

Her recent publications highlight trends in nutritional psychiatry, including dietary patterns for mental health, integrative approaches in military and post-stroke populations, and methodological standards for clinical trials. She contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through her research.
