Jessica Bardill is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Concordia University, specializing in Indigenous literatures, bioethics, American literature, and contemporary Canadian literature. Her research bridges literary analysis with critical discussions on genetics, tribal sovereignty, and decolonial practices.
She has taught courses such as Indigenous Literatures of so-called Canada & U.S., Intersectionality and Identity in Literature, and Literature and Science. Bardill co-curated the exhibit Leaving Home, Building Community: Triad Native American History and contributed to the American Journal of Bioethics and other interdisciplinary journals.

Her scientific awards include the Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowship in American Indian Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
