Jessica A. Brundage

Jessica A. Brundage, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin and a key member of the Wisconsin Institute of NeuroScience (WINS). She maintains a clinical practice at the Zablocki VA Medical Center's Mental Health Division in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she specializes in rehabilitation psychology with a focus on spinal cord injury.

Dr. Brundage's research and clinical work centers on spinal cord injury rehabilitation, particularly in the areas of sexual health rehabilitation, peer support programming, and mental health interventions for Veterans. She has developed two major clinical programs: the interdisciplinary Spinal Cord Injury/Disorders Community Health & Wellness Program (2013-2017) and the ongoing Spinal Cord Injury Sexual Health Rehabilitation Program (2017-present).

Her publication record includes significant work on moral injury during the COVID-19 pandemic and interdisciplinary approaches to sexual health rehabilitation for Veterans with spinal cord injuries. Dr. Brundage has presented extensively on topics including mindfulness, burnout prevention, PTSD treatment in SCI patients, and peer support programming at both national and regional conferences.

Dr. Brundage is actively involved in training the next generation of healthcare providers, supervising psychology trainees and presenting specialized seminars on spinal cord injury rehabilitation topics to predoctoral psychology interns.
