Prof. Jess Snedeker is a Professor at ETH Zurich and leads the Snedeker Group within the Laboratory for Orthopaedic Biomechanics. He is currently offering a Master Thesis project titled 'Tissue Engineering Approaches to Study Tendon Injury, Disease, and Therapy'.

Research focuses on tendon biology, mechanobiology, and regenerative medicine. The project involves creating in vitro models of human tendon tissue to investigate cellular responses to injury, inflammation, and mechanical loading during therapy. Techniques include 3D tissue constructs, advanced microscopy, immunostaining, and qPCR.
Students gain interdisciplinary skills in tissue engineering, cell culture, and molecular biology, with applications for academic research or biomedical careers. The project runs from May 2025 to December 2026.
