Jerzy Paweł Rokita

Jerzy Paweł Rokita is a distinguished academic and former Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice. He holds the rank of Full Professor and has been affiliated with the institution since 1957. His academic roles include Dean of the Faculty of Industry (1972–1978), Pro-Rector (1978–1981), and Rector (1981–1990). He leads the Department of Enterprise Management.

• Education: Mgr (1957), PhD (1963), Dr. Hab. (1972), all from the University of Economics in Katowice.

His research focuses on strategic management, organizational dynamics, and systems thinking in enterprise management. Over 237 publications include seminal works like "Dynamika zarządzania organizacjami" (2009) and "Zarządzanie strategiczne" (2005). He has supervised 15 PhDs and 400 master’s theses.

• Awards: Officer’s Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland (1986), Commander’s Cross with Star (2001), Doctor Honoris Causa from Wrocław (2009).

He is a member of the Polish Economic Society, Polish Academy of Sciences, and European Academy of Arts, Sciences and Humanities.
