Jerry Wells

Prof. Jerry Wells is a Full Professor at Wageningen University & Research within the Wageningen Institute of Animal Sciences (WIAS). His research focuses on host-microbe interactomics, particularly investigating Streptococcus suis pathogenesis, microbiome dynamics, and organoid-based disease modeling. He leads projects on microbial pathogen adaptation, probiotic development, and dietary modulation of gut health, with applications in animal and human health.
