Jerry Johnson

Jerry Johnson is a Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso's College of Science. He directs the Indio Mountains Research Station and coordinates multiple graduate programs including Biology MS and Professional Master's programs.

Research Focus: His lab studies the systematics, ecology, and conservation of herpetofauna in Mesoamerica and the Chihuahuan Desert. Key areas include species adaptation to arid environments and anthropogenic impacts on biodiversity.
