Jerome Hausselle is an Assistant Professor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Oklahoma State University (OSU), affiliated with the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT). His research focuses on biomechanics, musculoskeletal disorders, biomaterials, and hybrid computational modeling. He teaches courses like Biomechanics (MAE 4623) and Biomimetics in Engineering (MAE 5010).
Education includes a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Mines Saint-Étienne (2007), an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cleveland State University (2003), and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from ENSMM, France (2001). He received the CNRS postdoctoral fellowship (2008–2009) and Rhône-Alpes Region Doctoral fellowship (2004–2007).
His research interests span musculoskeletal modeling, joint biomechanics, prosthetic design, and computational methods. Recent work explores gait analysis, postural stability, and the effects of training modalities on human performance. He collaborates on projects involving auditory feedback in motor learning and musculoskeletal adaptations during pregnancy.
Publications emphasize experimental and computational analysis of human movement, joint mechanics, and biomaterials for prosthetics. Key themes include optimizing motion through hybrid models and investigating biomechanical changes under varied conditions.
