Jeremy Schonfield is a Professor of Liturgy at Leo Baeck College and a Supernumerary Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies. He holds a BA in Comparative Literature and French from the University of East Anglia and a PhD in Jewish Studies from the University of Cambridge.

His research focuses on Jewish liturgy, rabbinic texts, and anthropological/psychological interpretations of life- and festival-cycles. He has contributed extensively to the study of medieval illuminated Haggadot and Jewish cultural analysis.

- Finalist in the 2006 American National Jewish Book Awards for Undercurrents of Jewish Prayer
- Publication of five facsimile editions of medieval Haggadot

He has taught Jewish Studies since 1985, with additional expertise in archaeology and Jewish cultural history.
