Jeremy R. Levine is an Associate Professor of Organizational Studies and Sociology (by courtesy) at the University of Michigan, with an affiliation in Public Policy and the Center for Inequality Dynamics (CID). He holds a PhD in Sociology from Harvard University, where he also earned an A.M., and a B.A. from the University of Michigan. His research focuses on urban governance, criminal legal systems, and inequality, particularly through the lens of victim policy and its racial/gender impacts. Notable work includes Constructing Community (Princeton UP) and policy advocacy, such as contributing to New York’s Fair Access to Victim Compensation Act.
