Jeremy Mercuri, Ph.D., is the John Witherspoon Gilpin, M.D. ’82 Endowed Associate Professor of Bioengineering at Clemson University. He is affiliated with the Department of Bioengineering within the College of Engineering, Computing and Applied Sciences (CECAS). His research focuses on orthopaedic regenerative medicine, bio-polymeric materials, and adult stem cells, with an emphasis on biocompatibility and translational applications.

Research Interests:
- Development of biomimetic materials and extracellular matrix-derived scaffolds
- Stem cell differentiation and cellular co-culture systems
- Engineering orthopaedic tissue interfaces
- Point-of-care tissue engineering and minimally invasive technologies
Labs & Teams: Directs the Laboratory of Orthopaedic Tissue Regeneration and Orthobiologics, specializing in clinically driven regenerative medicine and hybrid biologically responsive biomaterials.
