Dr. Jeremy Letwin is a Lecturer in Law at Lancaster University's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), where he teaches Tort Law and Public Law. He holds a PhD from King's College London (KCL), focusing on the moral foundations of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Before joining Lancaster in 2023, he served as a judicial assistant to the Senior President of Tribunals in the Court of Appeal and as a Visiting Lecturer at KCL. His legal education includes an LLM from University College London (UCL), an LLB from KCL, and call to the Bar at Middle Temple.
His research spans Human Rights Law, Environmental Law, Public Law, Jurisprudence, and Tort Law.
