معرفی
Jeremy Lakey is a Professor of Structural Biochemistry at Newcastle University, UK, and an active LINXS Fellow specializing in protein-surface interactions. He serves as a Food Working Group 4 member at the Lund Imaging Centre for Neutron and X-ray Science (LINXS), where he conducted guest research in June 2022 focusing on food interactions with surfaces.
His research group employs biochemical and biophysical methodologies to investigate protein engineering, structural dynamics, and conformational changes in solution and membrane environments. Core expertise spans bacterial outer membrane proteins, intrinsically disordered proteins, bionanotechnology surface engineering, neutron scattering applications, and biopharmaceutical analysis, with direct relevance to drug delivery systems and food science innovation.
Professor Lakey integrates neutron science with structural biochemistry through LINXS collaborations, particularly advancing understanding of food-surface molecular interactions. His work leverages advanced imaging and data analysis techniques to address challenges in biopharmaceutical development while contributing to LINXS's legacy themes in food science and neutron-based material analysis.
