Jeremy Jernegan is a Professor in the Department of Art at Tulane University's School of Liberal Arts, serving as ceramics area head since 1990 and holding the title of Bywater Institute Fellow. He earned his MA and MFA from San Jose State University (1985, 1987) and currently serves as Associate Dean of Finance and Planning.
- Research focuses on ceramic sculpture and spatial perception
- Key projects: Prescience, Surge, Waterman's Lure, Medusa's Raft
His work explores themes of travel, perception, and material paradoxes through large-scale ceramic and steel installations. Recent publications include contributions to Ceramics Art and Perception and authorship of Dry Glazes (University of Pennsylvania Press).
