Jeremy Ficca is an Associate Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Architecture, serving as Track Chair for the Master of Advanced Architectural Design (MAAD) program and founding director of the Design Fabrication (dFAB) Lab. His work focuses on post-carbon architecture, integrating bio-based carbon-neutral materials with computational design processes. He is licensed in Pennsylvania and holds a post-professional Master of Architecture from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.

Research interests emphasize material ethics, environmental sustainability, and the intersection of digital fabrication with architectural expression. Recent projects utilize carbon-sequestering hemp lime to explore architectural innovation. Supported by industry partners like Autodesk and the Alcoa Foundation, his work has been exhibited globally, including Roca Gallery London and The Mattress Factory.
Awards include the ACSA Best Project Award and AIA Pittsburgh Honor Award. Current teaching roles include coordinating the Praxis II undergraduate studio and leading graduate courses in design synthesis and fabrication.
Directs the dFAB Lab, which explores prototyping and customization in contemporary architectural practice. Prior to CMU, served on faculty at North Carolina State University.
