Dr. Jeremy Chamberlain is an Associate Professor of Biology at Southern Arkansas University (SAU). He holds a B.S. in Biology from Iowa State University (2009), an M.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Tyler (2011), and a Ph.D. in Applied Bioscience from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (2016). Before joining SAU, he served as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (2016-2018).
His research focuses on the physiological responses of animals to environmental change, particularly energy allocation patterns in life-history strategies. Utilizing reptiles and amphibians as models, he explores conservation and distribution dynamics in Arkansas and surrounding regions. He emphasizes under-represented taxa in ecological studies and engages in public outreach for biodiversity awareness.
Dr. Chamberlain teaches courses including Human Anatomy and Physiology, Vertebrate Physiology, Zoology, and Herpetology. His work bridges ecological and physiological research, with a commitment to advancing conservation efforts and science education.
