Rinker's research examines intersections of peacebuilding, collective trauma, and social oppression, with emphasis on South Asian anti-caste movements, narrative conflict transformation, and transitional justice. His praxis-based approach integrates restorative justice, trauma awareness, and social mobilization to address structural inequalities and community discord. Recent work critiques neoliberal paradigms while advocating for emotionally mindful conflict intervention frameworks.
Publications focus on trauma-informed peace practice, nonviolent resilience, and narrative justice, with recurring themes of collective memory, marginalized resistance, and diasporic identity. Trends include deepening integration of trauma theory into conflict studies and expanding analysis of caste-based discrimination in transnational contexts.
