Prof. Dr. Jens-Hinrich Binder holds the Chair of Civil Law, Corporate Law, Banking and Capital Markets Law at the Faculty of Law, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen. He has been a part-time judge at the Higher Regional Court of Stuttgart since October 2024 and served as Faculty Dean in 2021. His research focuses on corporate law, banking supervision, capital market regulation, and comparative legal systems.

- Doctorate at Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg (2004)
- Habilitation at Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg (2010)
His academic contributions include co-editing the ZBB - Journal for Banking Law and Banking and serving as a liaison lecturer for the German Academic Scholarship Foundation. He has also held visiting positions at EBS University of Business and Law (2011-2013) and was offered chairs at University of Hamburg and Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (both rejected).
