Prof. Dr. Jens Dibbern is a Full Professor for Information Systems and Director of the Information Engineering Unit at the University of Bern’s Institute of Information Systems. His academic career includes roles at the University of Mannheim and research stays at HEC Montreal. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration (2003) and has extensive experience in IT outsourcing, platform ecosystems, and collaborative software development. His research focuses on governance mechanisms, multisourcing dynamics, and sustainability in autonomous systems. He leads the Swiss Software Industry Survey series and contributes to editorial boards of journals like the Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS) and Business & Information Systems Engineering (BISE).
**Education and Career**: Jens Dibbern earned his MBA equivalent (Dipl. Kaufmann) from Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Bayreuth.
