Jenny Roddis

Dr. Jenny Roddis serves as Associate Head (Research and Innovation) at the School of Health and Care Professions within the University of Portsmouth's Faculty of Science and Health. She leads strategic planning and implementation of research initiatives while teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including modules on Evidence-Based Decision-Making and Long-Term Condition Management. She currently supervises doctoral students researching healthcare in prisons, technology in healthcare interventions, and practitioner-parent roles in care.

Her research focuses on community health and wellbeing, with emphasis on:

• Individual experiences of health determinants in community settings
• Pressure ulcer prevention strategies for elderly populations
• Evidence-based practice integration in nursing education
• Telemedicine applications in chronic condition management
• Patient experiences in primary care systems

Roddis's recent publications (2021-2025) demonstrate strong focus on telemedicine efficacy in sleep apnea treatment, community-based pressure ulcer prevention interventions, and qualitative explorations of patient experiences in primary care. Her work consistently addresses healthcare accessibility, technology integration, and patient-centered approaches to chronic disease management.
