Jenny Palm

Jenny Palm is a Professor and Head of Department at the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics (IIIEE), Lund University. She additionally serves as Project Manager, Research Coordinator, and Director. Her research examines energy systems through social science lenses, including sociotechnical transitions, governance frameworks, gender dynamics, and energy justice. Key research objects include smart grids, energy communities, industrial symbiosis, and heating systems.

Her recent publications analyze themes like citizen engagement in renewable energy transitions, social construction of industrial efficiency, and municipal strategies for circular economies. These works reflect interdisciplinary approaches bridging environmental policy, urban planning, and social equity.

Palm leads significant projects including:
