Jenny M. Cundiff is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Alabama, directing the Health, Relationships, and Disparities (HeRD) Lab. She holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology (Health emphasis) from the University of Utah and completed cardiovascular behavioral medicine postdoctoral training at the University of Pittsburgh.
Research examines socioeconomic/racial health disparities, interpersonal stress processes, close relationships, and biopsychosocial pathways linking social context to cardiovascular disease. Funded by APA and Division 38 (Health Psychology).
Publications focus on social determinants of health, stress physiology, inflammation biomarkers, and intervention implications. Recent work explores sleep health mediators, discrimination impacts on cognition, and maternal health in rural populations.
