Jenny Houlroyd is a Principal Research Scientist at Georgia Institute of Technology's Enterprise Innovation Institute and an Adjunct Instructor in the Professional Master's in Occupational Safety and Health (PMOSH) program through the School of Building Construction. She manages a team of industrial hygienists and oversees health-related training programs, including producing 19 educational videos on respirable crystalline silica exposure in the cut stone industry. Her work focuses on occupational safety, chemical exposure mitigation, and infectious disease prevention in high-risk industries such as healthcare, funeral services, and poultry processing.
Research and Grants:
- Co-Principal Investigator for a $180K Susan Harwood Grant addressing COVID-19 awareness in healthcare and funeral industries.
- Principal Investigator for studies on peracetic acid disinfectants in poultry processing ($125K US Poultry and Egg Association grant).
