Jenny Goransson is a Lecturer at the University Writing Program of Johns Hopkins University (JHU). She recently joined JHU after completing her PhD in Writing and Rhetoric at George Mason University (GMU) in May 2025, where she also taught composition and editing, served as Graduate Writing Coordinator at the Writing Center, and acted as a clinical coach for preservice English teachers in GMU's SEED Program.

Jenny's research focuses on mindfulness practices to support teachers in delivering written feedback on student writing. She also investigates project-based clinical preparation models in teacher education, antiracist writing pedagogies, and the integration of writing centers with learning centers. Her work has significantly influenced the secondary school writing center movement, where she founded and directed a writing center for eight years.
