Ariel M Goldenthal

Ariel M. Goldenthal is an Associate Professor and Assistant Director of Composition at George Mason University (GMU). Her research focuses on hybrid writing courses, instructor and student experiences in blended learning environments, and transparency in pedagogy. She holds a BA in Linguistics from Brandeis University and an MFA in Creative Writing from GMU.

Her work explores intersections of academic labor, hybrid course design, and equitable teaching practices. She has presented at conferences including CCCC, NCTE, and OWI Symposium, addressing themes like antiracist pedagogy and hybrid course development. Recent grants include a 2022 CCCC Research Initiative Grant on student perceptions in hybrid courses.
