Jennifer Winquist is a Professor of Psychology and Department Chair at Valparaiso University. She joined the faculty in 1999 with expertise in Social Psychology, focusing on research methods and statistics education. Her work emphasizes community-engaged research and innovative pedagogy, including authoring a widely used statistics textbook and developing open-source educational materials.
Education: PhD and MA in Social Psychology (University of Illinois at Chicago), BA in Psychology (Purdue University).
Research Interests: She explores the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, particularly flipped classroom models and active learning strategies. Her current projects involve collaborative research with community organizations to apply psychological science in practical settings. Key themes include group decision-making, rumination, and the impact of pedagogical methods on student outcomes.
