Jennifer Wildes is a Professor in the Department of Adult Psychiatry at the University of Chicago. Her work focuses on the treatment and assessment of eating disorders in older adolescents and adults, with expertise in cognitive behavior therapy and third-wave behavior therapies. She also investigates neurocognitive processes in eating disorders and obesity, and develops novel interventions for eating and weight disorders.
- Education: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (University of Oregon, 2003), M.S. in Clinical Psychology (University of Oregon, 1999), B.A. in Psychology and History (University of Virginia, 1998)
Research interests include classification of eating disorders, predictors of disorder expression, and neurocognitive mechanisms. Her recent publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to food insecurity, digital interventions, and social determinants of eating disorder outcomes.
