Jennifer Stone

Dr. Jennifer Stone is an Associate Professor and Principal Research Fellow at The University of Western Australia (UWA), leading the Genetic Epidemiology Group. She specializes in breast cancer screening research, particularly focusing on breast density and obesity-related risk factors. Her work aims to improve screening strategies through evidence-based approaches, including AI-driven risk prediction and tailored interventions. She holds an honorary position at the University of Melbourne and leads major grants such as the NHMRC-funded BreastScreen Plus project targeting obesity barriers to mammography participation.

Her research expertise spans epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, and biostatistics, with contributions to understanding breast density’s role in cancer outcomes and public health strategies. She established the Australian Breast Density Consumer Advisory Council to integrate community perspectives into research.
