Jennifer Short is an Associate Professor and Director of the Monash Centre for Advanced mRNA Medicines Manufacturing and Workforce Training at Monash University. Her research focuses on neuropharmacology, blood-brain barrier dynamics, and drug delivery systems, particularly in the context of Alzheimer's disease and other neurological disorders. She has led multiple collaborative projects involving institutions like the NHMRC and National Stem Cell Foundation of Australia, investigating therapeutic strategies for Alzheimer's and cellular therapies.
Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to good health and well-being. Key research areas include P-glycoprotein modulation, microglia function, and the role of fatty acid-binding proteins in neuroinflammation.
