Associate Professor Jennifer Sarah Schulz (formerly Moore) holds a PhD in public health/epidemiology (University of Melbourne) alongside law and health social sciences qualifications. Currently at UNSW Law & Justice, she specializes in health law, torts, and socio-legal research. Her roles include teaching, supervision, and research across medicine and law disciplines. She received the KPMG Inspiring Teacher Award (2018 winner, 2017 runner-up) and the Law Dean’s Award for Educational Excellence (2017).
Her research focuses on coronial law, medical malpractice, public health policy, and interdisciplinary methodologies. Notable works include Coroners' Recommendations and the Promise of Saved Lives (2015) and empirical studies on medical negligence systems. Schulz has held grants such as the Harkness Fellowship (2015-2016) and the New Zealand Law Foundation grant (2012-2014). She supervises PhD candidates in areas like patient safety and coronial system analysis.
