Jennifer S. Hendricks

Jennifer S. Hendricks is currently the Lindsley Memorial Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Juvenile and Family Law Program at the University of Colorado Boulder. She joined the faculty in 2012, after teaching at the University of Tennessee College of Law, and her academic focus spans feminist legal theory, family law, constitutional law, and civil procedure.

• Education: JD from Harvard Law School and BA in Mathematics and Women's Studies from Swarthmore College.

Research Interests: Her work critically examines the legal interplay between genetic parenthood and caretaking relationships, particularly how the law perpetuates patriarchal privileges in declining marriage rates. She explores the implications of genetic essentialism in family law, the constitutional dimensions of reproductive rights, and equality in sports.
