Dr. Jennifer Rust is Associate Professor and Associate Chair of English at Saint Louis University. Her research explores political theology in early modern literature, focusing on Shakespeare, Spenser, and Reformation religious writing.
Major contributions include analyses of the corpus mysticum concept in Tudor-Stuart texts, governmentality in Jonson's plays, and the intersection of sacramental theology with political authority. She co-translated Carl Schmitt's Hamlet or Hecuba and published the monograph The Body in Mystery (2014).
