Jennifer Ruiz-Morgan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Philology at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Murcia. Her academic work is deeply rooted in the study of Shakespeare and Elizabethan literature, with a specialized focus on the cultural transmission and theatrical representation of Shakespearean characters in Spanish-speaking contexts.
Her research interests primarily revolve around Shakespeare Studies, Elizabethan Literature, and Literary Adaptation, particularly how iconic figures like Juliet have been interpreted and transformed within Spanish theatrical culture from the 17th to the 19th century. She is a member of the research group Shakespeare and Elizabethan Literature and has previously collaborated with the group on Critical Theory and English Language Literatures.
Jennifer Ruiz-Morgan earned her doctorate from the University of Murcia with a thesis titled Shakespeare's Juliet and Her Representations in Spanish Theatrical Culture (1600s-1890s), supervised by Dr. Graham Keith Gregor and Dr. Laura Campilio Arnaiz. While no peer-reviewed articles or awards are listed in the available text, her scholarly trajectory emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to early modern drama and its reception across national traditions.
She maintains a personal academic website at https://www.um.es/web/shakespeare/, which likely hosts further resources related to her research group and projects.
