Jennifer Robinson

Jennifer Robinson is a Lecturer in Music at the University of Mississippi, affiliated with the Department of Music within the College of Liberal Arts. She teaches courses including Applied Voice (all levels), Yoga for Performers, Vocal Methods for Instrumental Majors, and Music Theory and Analysis I – Oral Skills. Her research focuses on wellness in performance, yoga for musicians, and mitigating performance anxiety.

Educated at Western Michigan University (BM in Music, 1981) and The Florida State University (MM in Music, 1985), she pursued doctoral studies at the University of Illinois. Her performance career includes roles in operas such as Così Fan Tutte and The Magic Flute, with notable engagements at the Arkansas Choral Society and venues like the North Carolina Museum of Art Chamber Music Series.

Robinson is a Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor, developing programs like Yoga for Performers, now part of the University of Mississippi curriculum. Her work has been featured at conferences including the National Opera Association and National Association of Teachers of Singing. She is also a recording artist with Albany Records.
