Dr. Jennifer Post is Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Arizona School of Music. She holds M.A./Ph.D. degrees in Ethnomusicology and South Asian Studies from the University of Minnesota and an M.S. in Information Science from Simmons College. Her research spans global music traditions, including Asia, the Middle East, North America, and Africa, with specialized focus on musical instruments, sociopolitical contexts, and sustainability.
Prior appointments include teaching positions at Middlebury College and New Zealand School of Music. She has curated significant collections including John Blacking's field archives and established foundational collections for the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix.
