Dr. Jennifer Ong is a Lecturer and registered pharmacist at the University of Sydney's Sydney Pharmacy School. She focuses on palliative care education, clinical studies, and drug discovery. Her research integrates pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to improve end-of-life care, with interests in compassionate communities, primary palliative care, and public health strategies. She contributed to drug discovery through her PhD on EGFR/PTP1B protein interactions and has expertise in molecular modeling and anti-cancer drug testing.

Research Interests: Supportive care, palliative care, drug discovery, and public health approaches to end-of-life care. Current projects include compassionate communities, drug burden in palliative care, and systematic reviews on therapies like Hangeshinshanto for oral mucositis.
Teaching & Supervision: Teaches palliative care, symptom management, and Mental Health First Aid in pharmacy programs. Supervises Honours and postgraduate students.
Affiliations: Member of Sydney Policy Lab, Centre for Drug Discovery Innovation, and Australian Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Grants: Co-led a 2021 project on schizophrenia education in health curricula.
