Jennifer Nyland

Jennifer Nyland serves as Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Salisbury University. Her laboratory investigates immunotoxic effects of environmental contaminants, particularly metals like mercury and arsenic. Research approaches span epidemiological studies, in vitro analysis, and marine organism toxicology.

Current projects examine: biomarkers of mercury-induced immune modulation; impacts of arsenic exposure on autoimmune disease progression; and toxicant effects on phytoplankton/zooplankton systems through marine science collaborations.
