Jennifer Miller is a Lecturer of Dance at Colorado Mesa University, where she contributes to the dance program with a rich background in choreography, performance, and somatic education. She has held teaching positions at nine universities and served as a guest artist in over 15 academic programs across the country.
Education:
- MFA in Dance Choreography and Performance, The College at Brockport
- BS in Exercise Science, Western Illinois University
Her research and teaching interests span dance, choreography, fitness, wellness, and injury prevention. She integrates her expertise in somatic practices, Pilates, and movement therapy into her pedagogy and artistic practice. Her work has been performed internationally in Sweden and France, as well as throughout the United States.
She is certified as an Evans teacher (2011), a registered somatic movement therapist, a certified Pilates instructor, a personal trainer, a childbirth educator, and a birth doula, reflecting her interdisciplinary approach to movement and wellness.
Jennifer Miller is artistic co-director of two dance companies: Treeline Dance Works (based in IL and NYC) and Paramount Dance Project (IL), where she continues to create and present new choreographic works.
