Jennifer McKenzie is a Professor of Kinesiology at McDaniel College, where she teaches courses such as Exercise Physiology, Conditioning & Speed, and the Kinesiology capstone. A McDaniel alumna (B.A. 2001), she returned to the college in 2008 after earning her M.A. and Ph.D. in Kinesiology with a specialization in Exercise Physiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), which informs her integrative approach to research, teaching, and practice.

Her research focuses on the health-related and performance-related benefits of exercise and exercise training, emphasizing interdisciplinary applications of kinesiology across biology, psychology, and health sciences. Jennifer McKenzie has made significant contributions to teaching and student engagement at McDaniel College, receiving multiple honors including the Ira G. Zepp Distinguished Teaching Award (2025) and the John Desmond Kopp Professorship in the Sciences (2024–2028). She is also a recipient of the Charles A. Boehlke Jr. Engaged Faculty Fellow Award (2018).
