Jennifer Maxwell is an Associate Professor at Kent State University's School of Peace & Conflict Studies, located on the Kent campus. She has taught conflict theory and intervention skills since 1983. Her office is in 321 Bowman Hall, part of the Center For Applied Conflict Management.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Social Science from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University (1985)
Research Interests: Dr. Maxwell focuses on dissociated coercion in interpersonal relationships, trauma effects on violence victims, PTSD intervention strategies, violence prevention education, and improving mediation practices. She leads the Dissociated Coercion Project, an applied research initiative addressing these issues.
