Jennifer Marie S. Amparo

Dr. Jennifer Marie S. Amparo is an Associate Professor and Dean at the College of Human Ecology, University of the Philippines Los Banos. She holds a PhD in Human Ecology from Australian National University, an MA in Sociology from University of the Philippines Diliman, and a BS in Human Ecology (cum laude) from UPLB. Her research examines socio-ecological systems with focuses on sustainable livelihoods and gender-inclusive development.

Research interests include:

• Systems analysis of food production networks
• Gender dimensions of environmental programs
• Pollution impact remediation
• Nature-based livelihood co-design

She has led regional projects funded by SEARCA, DFAT, UNICEF, ADB and World Bank, previously working with Blacksmith Institute on pollution remediation and PNGOC on health initiatives.
