Jennifer Maggs

Jennifer Maggs is a Professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies at the Pennsylvania State University's College of Health and Human Development. With over 20 years of expertise in prevention research, she focuses on understanding alcohol use and health across the lifespan, particularly during the transition to adulthood. Her work examines predictors and consequences of normative and problematic alcohol consumption to inform population health strategies.

Her research extends internationally through collaborations at the Centre for Longitudinal Studies, UCL-Institute of Education in London. She has authored 93 peer-reviewed journal articles and actively integrates travel into her academic endeavors as a visiting scientist/scholar.
