Jennifer Love is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Calgary's Faculty of Science. She holds a PhD from Stanford University (2000) and a B.S. from Allegheny College (1994). Her postdoctoral work included a National Institutes of Health fellowship at the California Institute of Technology (2000-2003). Her research focuses on organometallic chemistry, particularly transition metal-mediated reactions for methane upgrading and C-H activation mechanisms. Key achievements include the development of platinum and nickel catalysts for selective bond cleavage and reductive elimination. She has held roles such as Senior Advisor to the Provost, Women Faculty at UBC, and has received awards like the Killam Teaching Prize (2009) and AstraZeneca Canada Award in Chemistry (2008).
