Jennifer L. Hoffman

Dr. Jennifer Hoffman is Professor and Womble Chair of Astronomy at the University of Denver, where she directs the historic Chamberlin Observatory. Her research focuses on late stages of massive stellar evolution, particularly the role of binary stars in shaping supernova explosions.

She employs observational spectropolarimetry and 3-D computational modeling to study stellar phenomena. Committed to inclusive science, Dr. Hoffman works to expand opportunities in physics and astronomy for underrepresented groups. Her recent publications explore supernova asymmetries, stellar wind interactions, and ultraviolet spectropolarimetry techniques.
