Jennifer L. Hammers

Jennifer L. Hammers, D.O., is an Adjunct Professor at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Duquesne University, where she teaches Forensic Pathology and Forensic Anatomy in the Master in Forensic Science and Law Program. She is a board-certified Anatomic, Clinical, and Forensic Pathologist with expertise in cardiac pathology and CTE research. Dr. Hammers previously trained at the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office and worked in Massachusetts and New York City before establishing her private practice, Jennifer Hammers Pathology LLC, serving Western Pennsylvania. She provides autopsy services, medical-legal consultations, and actively participates in forensic research.

Her career spans academic teaching, private practice, and forensic pathology community development. Key research areas include cardiac pathology, forensic topics, and CTE. She advocates for expanding forensic pathology education and maintains a strong clinical focus through her LLC.
