Dr. Jennifer Joyce is a Senior Lecturer and Course Leader in Sport and Exercise Science at the School of Sport and Exercise Science, University of Worcester. She joined the institution in 2013 and specializes in fostering student development, particularly in employability skills and academic resilience. Her research focuses on exercise’s impact on cognitive function in older adults, menopause-related brain health, and psycho-social influences on physical activity in aging populations.
Education: BSc Sport and Exercise Sciences (University of Limerick, 2007), MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology (University of Chichester, 2008), PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, Exercise, and Ageing (University of Limerick, 2013).
Teaching responsibilities include modules on motor learning, exercise and ageing, and work placements for final-year students. Her awards highlight her dedication to teaching excellence, including the 2023 Leading Teaching Award and SFHEA recognition.
