Jennifer Jacob is an Assistant Professor jointly appointed in the Departments of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Pharmacology & Toxicology at Michigan State University. She holds a PhD in Immunogenetics from MSU and completed postdoctoral training at the Karmanos Cancer Institute, focusing on tumor immunity and autoimmunity. Prior to academia, she led oncology research at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and served as a Senior Research Scientist at Wayne State University.
Her research integrates genetic data from diverse mouse models with single-cell RNA sequencing to identify quantitative trait loci (QTL) influencing cancer development. Key focuses include epithelial cell transformation, immune response modulation, and therapeutic target validation using spatial sequencing techniques. This work bridges preclinical models with human cancer survival data for clinical translation.
Dr. Jacob's expertise spans bispecific antibody development, immunocompetent mouse models, and drug efficacy evaluation. Her interdisciplinary approach addresses both oncogene regulation and potential adverse effects of novel therapies.
