Jennifer Irwin is an Associate Professor of Business Administration and Chair of the Department at Lycoming College. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oregon and has previously taught at Louisiana State University, bringing interdisciplinary expertise shaped by academic backgrounds in anthropology, creative writing, and library science.
Her research centers on how group identity and organizational culture evolve over time, influencing the development of professions and industries. Using qualitative and longitudinal methods, she takes a historical, process-oriented approach to study change dynamics in unique contexts such as the U.S. motorhome industry and the field of librarianship.
Dr. Irwin teaches courses in strategic management, global business, small business management, and business writing, integrating her diverse academic background into her pedagogy. Her work has been published in top-tier journals including Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Ethics in Entrepreneurship, and she has presented at numerous academic conferences.
