Jennifer Hutchinson is a Professor of Piccolo at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). Appointed Principal Piccolo with the BBC Philharmonic in 2005, she maintains an active career in orchestral performance, recording, and international touring.
Her education includes a First Class Honours Degree from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and postgraduate studies at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama under renowned tutors Paul Edmund-Davies, Philippa Davies, and Sarah Newbold.
As a faculty member, Hutchinson specializes in piccolo instruction and performance, contributing to the RNCM's prestigious wind, brass, and percussion department. She continues to collaborate with major ensembles such as The Royal Opera House, BBC Symphony Orchestra, and London Chamber Orchestra, while participating in live television and Radio 3 broadcasts.
