Jennifer Howanitz is an Assistant Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at DeSales University, affiliated with the College of Healthcare Professions. With over 28 years of clinical experience, she specializes in geriatric rehabilitation and oncologic rehabilitation, particularly focusing on neurocognitive disorders and self-efficacy in DPT students.

Her clinical expertise is complemented by leadership roles in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), including Co-Chair of the Education and Leadership Conference and past-Chair of the Global Health for Aging Adults special interest group. She has presented clinical and educational research at national conferences and authored/co-authored publications on neurocognitive impairment in rehabilitation. Dr. Howanitz also coordinates student clinical education experiences, develops partnerships with healthcare organizations, and lectures in the DPT curriculum.
